The organic formula manufacturer, Nara Organics, has initiated a mass recall of their Whole Milk Organic Powdered Infant Formula. This considerable measure follows the product's association with three botulism cases in infants.
The recommendation from the authorities is absolute - parents are to immediately cease using the affected formula. This recall pertains to the Nara Organics infant formula sold through Target retail stores, the Target website, and directly via Nara's own site, from the period of July 2025 through June 2026.
The decision to remove all infant formula from sale is in direct response to an outbreak of infant botulism. To date, three infants from California, Pennsylvania, and Washington have fallen ill after consuming the formula.
The infants, aged between 2 and 5 months developed symptoms of botulism during April and May of this year. Each of these children has since been treated for the illness and thankfully, are now in the process of recovery.
